# Members and invitations > Invite people to your organization by email and manage their membership, role, and seat. *[View this page in the Flax docs](https://flax-analytics.com/docs/administration/members-and-invitations)* Members are the people in your organization. This page covers inviting them and managing membership. Admins manage members under `/app/settings/people`. ## Inviting members Invite people by email address from the Members page. Each invitation is scoped to your organization and carries the role and seat the invitee will receive when they accept. 1. Open **Settings → People**. 2. Enter the invitee's email and choose their role and seat. 3. Send the invitation. The recipient accepts it to join, creating an account if they don't have one. Pending invitations can be listed and revoked before they are accepted. ## Roles and seats Membership has two independent dimensions: | Dimension | Values | Meaning | | --- | --- | --- | | Role | `admin`, `member` | Admins manage the org — people, teams, governance, billing. Members do not. | | Seat | `editor`, `viewer` | Editors can create and edit content; viewers can only consume it. | An admin can change any member's role or seat, and can remove a member from the organization. Removing a member revokes their access immediately. > [!IMPORTANT] > An organization must always keep at least one admin. You cannot remove or demote the last remaining admin — promote someone else first. Fine-grained, resource-level access is handled through teams and grants rather than org role alone.
