Export your personal data and delete your account to support data access, portability, and erasure rights.

Flax provides self-service data privacy controls that support access, portability, and erasure rights under regulations such as the GDPR. These actions apply to your own account.

#Export your data

You can download a copy of your personal data at any time. Flax returns it as a JSON file (flax-export.json) suitable for both the right of access and data portability. The export is recorded in the audit log.

#Delete your account

Deleting your account anonymizes your personal data (right to erasure) and ends your sessions. For safety:

  1. You must re-enter your password to confirm the deletion.
  2. If you are the sole admin of an organization that still has other members, the request is refused. Promote another admin (or remove the remaining members) first, so your teammates aren't locked out.
  3. On success, your data is anonymized and you are signed out.

Warning

Account deletion is irreversible. Export anything you want to keep before you delete.
