# Quickstart for viewers

> For people who consume dashboards — find shared content, filter and cross-filter, drill down, comment, and subscribe to deliveries.

This quickstart is for people who read and interact with dashboards rather than build them. You do not need to know SQL or the semantic model — just how to find answers.

## Find shared content

Open your organization's Flax URL and sign in. The home workspace lists the dashboards and charts that have been shared with you. Use search to jump straight to a dashboard by name.

## Apply dashboard filters

Most dashboards have a filter bar at the top — dates, regions, categories, and so on. Change a filter and every tile on the dashboard updates together, so all the numbers stay consistent.

## Cross-filter by clicking

Click a bar, slice, or point in one chart and choose **Filter dashboard to this** to narrow every other chart to that value. This is the fastest way to focus on a segment; the same menu offers to remove the filter again. See [Interactivity](/docs/visualizations/interactivity).

## Drill down

When a chart supports it, you can drill from a summary into the detail behind a data point — for example from a monthly total into the individual rows. See [Drill down](/docs/exploring/drill-down).

## Comment and get notified

Leave a comment on a dashboard or a specific tile to ask a question or flag something. Mentioned teammates are notified. See [Comments and notifications](/docs/administration/comments-and-notifications).

## Subscribe to scheduled deliveries

Rather than checking a dashboard manually, subscribe to a scheduled delivery to receive it by email on a cadence — daily, weekly, or on your own schedule. See [Scheduled deliveries](/docs/automation-ai/scheduled-deliveries).
